Our Process
We’re happy to jump in and help at any stage of the custom home building or renovation process, but our most successful (and cost-effective) projects happen when we get involved from the very start. Here’s how Higginbotham makes a difference at every stage:
Site Selection
Before work can begin on your home, you have to find the right land. We’ve been building homes in the St. Louis area since 1945, so we know where to look to find the location that meets your needs.
Design
We have an extensive network of architects and interior designers that we can refer based on your style and design ideas. We then work alongside the design team to make sure that all finished spaces have the look you want while meeting our Higginbotham quality standards.
Construction
Communication and transparency are our keys to success. We stay in touch as often as needed – usually multiple times per week – to provide you with status updates. From the very beginning, we show you our fee structure and pass along any discounts from vendors or contractors. We collect bids from several subcontractors in every trade to make sure we get you the best rates – and quality – possible and provide you with every bid we receive.
Move-In
Throughout the construction process, our team inspects all work to ensure excellence and accuracy. We take great pride and vigilance in creating a lasting space that you’re sure to love.
